Use of the Radiorax RK100 Tray Modification Tool Kit is an efficient and precise way to modify avionic trays for proper mounting to the RadioraxRP1110-PReduced Dimension Center andRP1115-PMinimum Dimension Center Rails. The kit consists of a 304 stainless RT100 Drill Guide, structural #6 screws for attaching and tray dimpling, and a #27 drill bit.
Attach the RT100 to the tray with the included #6 screw, squaring it with the front of the tray.
Use the included #27 drill bit to create the new mounting hole.
After drilling and deburring both new holes, flatten the original dimples.
Attach the countersunk side of the tool's threaded hole to the newly drilled mounting hole. Apply a small amount of lubricant to the face of the tool's countersink and structural screw to facilitate dimpling. CAUTION! Only use the included structural screw to avoid breakage in the tool. The newly dimpled tray now fits RadioraxRP1110-PReduced Dimension Center andRP1115-Poffset rails, adjusting and installing exactly the same as a standard tray.
